Our breadth of service offerings ensures that Vivian’s Door delivers a comprehensive suite of professional skills and tools at the disposal of each participating business.

We do this by utilizing our world-class continuing education, skills, and tools, as well as feedback from our valued business owner participants. Our program lifecycle, and the associated deliverables, allow every participant business owner to experience a seamlessly managed training and mentoring program that provides exceptional outcomes for all stakeholders.

Vivian’s Door hosts ongoing networking events to reach and engage more community and industry partners. Our goal is to build community wealth through activities that engage all community members in order to strengthen our bonds.

URBAN INTELLECT BOOK CLUB

This Book Club initiative started as a wealth gap series about knowledge, self-development, fun, inspiration, and asset building. It started in March 2020, weeks before the COVID 19 lockdowns began and was born out of the deep desire to connect with our history, engage with our community members, and provide the knowledge to understand our unique position.

BLACK FARMERS INITIATIVE LISTENING SESSIONS AND TOWN HALLS

Vivian’s Door acts as a hub to pipeline information and connects Black farmers to organizations and resources necessary to grow and scale their farming businesses in South Alabama, Central Alabama, and the Gulf Coast. We conduct outreach by visiting farms and rural communities, conducting listening sessions and town halls to be a part of farmers lived experiences helping them to achieve success.

VIVIAN’S DOOR WOMEN’S CONFERENCE (VDWC)

This is an annual event that brings together a diverse group of minority entrepreneurs, especially women to connect them with the resources needed for growth. Attendees include minority entrepreneurs, investors, procurement professionals, and others through whom attendees can connect and expand their network, and learn new strategies for cultivating contracts, contacts, and a diverse pipeline of suppliers.

MINORITY BUSINESS TOURS

This engagement opportunity is for MBEs to showcase their wares and establish connections within the community. Vivian’s Door will select communities and schedule tours. Each tour includes personal stories about the business to be added into Vivian’s Door Marketplace App.
