Home20 Founder Brittany Moore Champions Support for Truck Drivers
At 3 a.m., while most of America sleeps, Brittany Moore is thinking about truckers — the 3.5 million drivers keeping the country alive mile by mile.

Spotlighting America’s Unsung Heroes
Every day, millions of trucks crisscross the nation’s highways, carrying the goods that keep our lives running. Behind every mile is a driver — a human being balancing sacrifice, skill, and strength to keep America moving.
At Vivian’s Door, we believe in celebrating the individuals and entrepreneurs who keep our communities thriving. That’s why we sat down with Brittany K. Moore, CEO and Founder of Home20, LLC, based in Mobile, Alabama, to learn how she’s redefining what it means to support truck drivers — not just as workers, but as the beating heart of the economy.
While most of America sleeps, 3.5 million truck drivers keep our nation moving. They haul everything from life-saving medicine to school supplies across highways that stretch from coast to coast. But who’s watching out for them? In Mobile, Alabama, Brittany K. Moore has made it her mission.
“Truck drivers are not just workers – they are essential heroes of our economy,” says Moore, CEO and Founder of Home20, LLC.
It’s more than a business motto – it’s personal. Her father, Johnnie Moore, spent over 35 years behind the wheel, and she witnessed firsthand what drivers sacrifice. “In this industry, one wrong decision can cost a driver their life. That reality is why I am passionate about making sure drivers are respected and supported.”
More Than Moving Freight
Home20 isn’t your typical trucking company. This Prichard native built her Mobile-based business around supporting drivers through TWIC escort services at Alabama State Docks, oversized load pilot escorts, and community advocacy designed to keep truckers safe and valued.
“At Home20, my role is to support and safeguard truck drivers,” Moore explains. “While I’m not behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, the services my team and I provide ensure that truckers can do their jobs safely, legally, and efficiently.”
The numbers tell the story of trucking’s importance: the industry generates nearly $1 trillion in revenue annually and moves 11.18 billion tons of freight. Yet despite moving 70% of America’s goods, drivers often face public misunderstanding.
“Too often, people only see the inconvenience of a slow-moving truck on the highway,” Moore notes. “What they don’t see is that inside that truck is someone delivering food, medicine, school supplies, and everyday goods that keep our lives running.”
Breaking Through Barriers
Building Home20 hasn’t been easy. “One of the toughest challenges I’ve faced in this industry is breaking through barriers as a small, locally owned business,” Moore admits.
Larger companies often have more resources, funding, and recognition. Her response? Pure determination.
“Instead of giving up, my team and I leaned on faith, persistence, and community connections. By building relationships directly with drivers, trucking companies, and partners like Vivian’s Door, we proved that Home20 could deliver reliable, professional service.”
The sacrifices have been real. “People often see the good times – when everything is rolling smoothly and the business looks strong from the outside,” she shares. “What they don’t see are my tears from unexpected car breakdowns, the late nights, or the low balances in the account that come with keeping a business alive in this industry.”
Lessons from the Highway
Trucking taught Moore profound lessons that extend far beyond the business world. “The trucking industry has taught me that strength comes from consistency and resilience. Every driver knows that the road can be long, unpredictable, and sometimes lonely, but the key is to keep moving forward mile after mile.”
She continues: “No one moves freight alone. It takes dispatchers, mechanics, escorts, drivers, and businesses working together. Just like on the highway, in life you have to stay focused on your lane, keep your eyes forward, and never lose sight of your destination.”
Changing the Narrative
Moore’s biggest mission? Shifting public perception. “If I could change one thing about how the public sees the trucking industry, it would be to help people understand that truck drivers are not just workers – they are essential heroes of our economy.”
She wants recognition: “We want the public to see them with the same honor we give to teachers, nurses, or first responders.”
Home20’s community impact reflects this mission. Through back-to-school events, holiday giveaways, and local outreach, Moore has created something special. “My proudest moment has been building a business that can give back to the community,” she reflects. “Home20 isn’t just about providing services — it’s about creating opportunities to support drivers, families, and neighbors in meaningful ways.”

The Power of Partnership
Moore credits Vivian’s Door as crucial to her success. “Vivian’s Door has been a true partner in my journey as a business owner in the trucking industry. Their support has gone beyond resources — they’ve provided guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to grow Home20 in ways I couldn’t have done alone.”

Driving Forward
Moore’s message is clear: drivers need more than just fuel and rest stops — they need advocates who understand their value. With a nationwide driver shortage and growing demand, that support has never been more critical.
“Drivers sacrifice so much,” Moore concludes. “We want the public to see them with the same honor we give to teachers, nurses, or first responders.”
In her hands, Home20 isn’t just a business — it’s a bridge between drivers and the communities they serve, one mile at a time.
